Uncommon 12 months, uncommon issues – WSVN 7News | St John Information, Climate, Sports activities
(WSVN) – To say 2020 had unusual problems would probably be a huge understatement. From the crime of coughing on a person’s face to a restaurant owner receiving a warning for taking a break in her own business. Help Me Howard with Patrick Fraser has had so many unique inquiries this year.
There will never be a year like 2020 again, and accordingly, the South Florida residents have had problems they have never faced before.
Sandra Franco: “Cough so much on his face that my father can feel the heat of his breath on him.”
Sandra’s father had gone into the store with his mask on and walked a few meters away from the people until he met an idiot.
Sandra Franco: And then I decided to come back and do it a second time maliciously and my dad said, ‘Listen, what are you doing? ‘And then he laughed in his face. “
When we spoke to Sandra, her father was in quarantine hoping the clown hadn’t given him the coronavirus which would have been a crime.
Sandra Franco: “I was very angry, to be honest, that someone would have such a dark soul to do that.”
Fortunately, Juan did not get COVID, and although the puma legally had no leg to stand on, COVID left Katia with no chair to sit on.
Katia Roque: Can we have this table? Can my employees take their break there? Can the owners sit? “
When St John-Dade restaurants were only allowed outside customers, Katia held a table in her Munchie’s Cafe to sit down and take a break. No, said enforcement of the code.
Katia Roque: She just said, ‘Listen, I’m doing my job. Don’t argue with me and I have to give you the warning. ‘”
After reading the County Order, we discovered that the inspector was wrong. Katia and her staff can sit at a table and take a break in their restaurant.
Sue Chatlos: Oh, I love to sit there. It is wonderful.”
Sue loved sitting in her back yard and looking through a gap in the fence while boats sail down the canal until her neighbor blocked her view with his big Trump sign.
Sue Chatlos: “This property has over 100 feet of waterfront. He could have put it anywhere, but he put it right in front of the chairs. “
Sue was told that her neighbor put his Trump sign up there to return to her because Sue was a huge Joe Biden fan and her Dump Trump and Dogs Against Trump signs were flying around her yard.
Sue Chatlos: “Lots of people with an opinion in the area, which is mostly good.”
Legally, her neighbor has won. He could put his Trump badge anywhere he wanted, but Sue won the bigger battle when Joe Biden was elected president.
Etta Harbin: “Right now I have to know what to do. How do we inform the family? Because we want to keep compliance. “
When COVID rushed into our lives, Etta Harbin worried about the lives of her parishioners because state and county COVID rules would only allow small gatherings for funerals in her church.
Etta Harbin: “There are families, immediate family members. What do you say to them How do you tell them just 10? “
But then governments came to the conclusion that churches are essential and exempt from the rules so that Etta could have large socially distant funerals.
From praying for the souls …
Ana Karina Cespedes: “I was finally approved. They approved me for $ 24,200. “
To save a business, Ana received a federal loan to help her small freelance business survive, but the bank that the government processed her loan with refused to give it to her.
Ana Karina Cespedes: “I’m paying back the SBA, so the bank really has nothing to do with it.”
We heard from several people like Ana who couldn’t get the banks to release the government’s COVID money.
Legally they had to, and after we contacted the bank, they handed the money over to Ana.
Ana Karina Cespedes: “Thank you so much for everything you do for us little people to fight the fight. I am eternally grateful that I fought this battle with me. “
Glad we were able to help you Ana because we are trying to help as many people as possible and we have all seen so many problems in 2020 that we had never seen before and hopefully never will see again because of nobody wants to relive the 2020 headache.
Do you have a problem you don’t have to sneeze about? Feel like you don’t have a prayer to resolve it? Give us the mark and let us support you.
