St John’s Wooden hearth: 80 firefighters deal with two-storey blaze at church as smoke fills air | UK | Information

Fire crews from North Kensington, Paddington, West Hampstead and surrounding fire stations attended the scene, reported the LFD.

The London Fire Brigade (LFB) warned residents in the local area to keep their windows and doors closed after the building on Hamilton Terrace was set ablaze and billowed with thick black smoke.

Firefighters on the scene are using two of LFB’s brand new 64-metre turntable ladders as water towers, which was captured on a video posted online by the LFD.

The turntable ladder allowed the firefighters to get water on the external parts of St Mark’s Church.

According to people on the scene, police have cordoned off Hamilton Terrace and Abercon Place.
