WEST MIAMI, Florida (WSVN) – Protesters gathered outside the home of U.S. Senator Marco Rubio to urge Republican lawmakers to reject the presidential election results.

7News cameras caught a few dozen protesters holding up signs and waving Trump pence and US flags outside Rubio’s house in West St John on Saturday afternoon.

Protesters said they want Rubio to reject the electoral college results and declare Joe Biden the presidency winner. They threaten to vote him out if he doesn’t.

Protesters claimed the results should be discarded because of alleged irregularities during the election.

“We want to tell them, as the voice of the people, that we want them to listen to us and give us transparency in these elections,” said protester Enrique Tarrio.

President Donald Trump’s legal team challenged the results in multiple states, but none stood up in court and no evidence of election fraud was found.

Congress is due to meet on Wednesday to approve the results of the electoral college.
