This Sunday, May 10th, is Mother’s Day. The dining rooms at the South Florida restaurant are still closed, but you can honor that special woman in your life with the gift of a delicious meal.
From brunch to family-sized parties, these are the best takeaway specials for Mother’s Day in St John. (Prices do not include taxes, shipping, or tips.)
Michelle Bernstein’s Mother’s Day menu offers a variety of starters, including roast salmon with pomegranate, capers, dill and brown butter. Gnocchi Carbonara with pancetta, peas and ham; and a vegetarian option from Za’atar with roasted cauliflower and tahini drizzle. Parker House rolls and sides made from whipped potatoes and amandine with green beans and herb butter are included with every meal. For dessert, enjoy Michy’s rum-soaked raisin, chocolate, creme brulee, and brioche bread pudding ($ 115 for four). Add flower arrangements for $ 58. Order by Wednesday, May 6th, 3 p.m., delivery by Saturday, May 9, 5 p.m. Delivery is free in St John-Dade. For other counties an extra charge will be charged.
Cafe Prima Pasta offers two family-sized menus for Mother’s Day. Choose from a three-course meal with entrees like chicken marsala, veal piccata, or lamb ragu with penne pomodoro ($ 120) or pasta dishes like lasagna, fiocchi rapera, or Italian fried rice ($ 99). Each meal has a choice of salad (mixed vegetables or Caesar), bread and butter, and a dessert. Delivery and take-away are possible on Sunday, May 10th from 12.00 to 9.30 p.m.

Treat your mother to a three-course menu with Italian specialties. Doma’s menu starts with a burrata, parmigiano, parma ham, and artisanal salami starter. followed by an appetizer of pasta Bolognese, spinach-ricotta-lasagna or cannelloni. The meal includes tiramisu for dessert ($ 30). A discounted wine list is available. Available for take away and delivery.

Dune offers a three-course meal with butter salad, Maine lobster with boiled potatoes and corn on the cob, and strawberry shortcake. The menu is $ 45 per person. $ 160 for a group of four; and $ 240 for a group of six. Add in a bottle of sparkling rose for $ 20. Roadside delivery and collection are possible from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Chef Dewey Losasso’s family Mother’s Day package is a three-course menu with two starters with options like sliced tuna tataki and non-dairy pumpkin and ginger soup. followed by a choice of three main dishes (prawn, scallop, lobster and pea risotto, filet mignon fried with porcini mushrooms or a fried half chicken with dried figs). As a side dish, choose between truffled mashed potatoes, quinoa, roasted heirloom carrots and beets, or sauteed green beans. Pick two desserts from a list that includes strawberry shortcake, green tea almond panna cotta, and a chocolate cake. The price is $ 39 per person; at least four people. (Add a handcrafted cookie jar with a $ 28 cookie decoration kit.) Order in advance for Mother’s Day delivery.

To celebrate Mother’s Day weekend, Morton’s is offering a steak and lobster dinner of spinach and sour cream mashed potatoes from Friday May 10th to Sunday May 12th. For dessert: lime pie ($ 59). A Chef’s Table household set of specialties mom can make at home serves two ($ 109) or four ($ 199) and includes prepared sauces, butter, and bottled water. Available for take away and delivery.
Novecento offers a meal of roasted salmon, with a pear and gorgonzola salad, and roasted herb potatoes (USD 45 for four). Add a bottle of white, red, or sparkling wine ($ 15) or upgrade to Veuve Clicquot ($ 60). Available for take away and delivery.

Mother’s Day menu starts with green papaya salad starters, beef empanadas with potatoes, yuca cheese bread with Chinese sausage butter and summer rolls. Entrée options include sancocho pho as well as salchipapa (think tater tots and sausage and you will be close). Each meal comes with croissant bread pudding and a bottle of sparkling wine, rosé, or a homemade tropical mimosa mix (USD 105 for three to four people). Call ahead for takeaway or delivery.

The restaurant at W South Beach (RSWB) offers a Mother’s Day takeaway menu for $ 39 per person. Options include grilled Mediterranean squid, avocado toast with hard-boiled eggs, miso-glazed salmon with forbidden rice and sauteed broccolini, and slow-braised beef bourguignon with truffle mac cheese and roasted Brussels sprouts. For dessert, choose between a fresh fruit tart and a chocolate pastiera Napoletana. Available for take away and delivery.

Wake up your mother with a 7-course brunch gift box, the avocado toast and smoked salmon, a green salad, scrambled eggs with chives and vegetable tian, quinoa with tomato and cucumber, organic roast chicken and waffles with watermelon and honey, a variety of plain and mini chocolate croissants with fresh fruit and berries, and strawberry shortcake ($ 92 for two).
