Old Greg’s Pizza Pop-up
Old Greg’s Pizza, the Instagram sourdough pizza sensation that gained an iconic following during the COVID-19 pandemic, has partnered with Kilgore Culinary Group to hit the Design District on Friday. Old Greg’s offers five pizzas: Original Cheese, OG Roni, Veg Supreme, Shroomz and Tomato Pie. The OG Roni, for example, is topped with fresh, hand-pulled mozzarella, Ezzo sausage pepperoni cups, and local hot honey, while the Veg Supreme comes with hand-picked vegetables, mushrooms, oil-dried olives, red pearl onions, and three types of peppers, and the Shroomz -Cake brings mushrooms, mushroom cream and salsa verde with a wild ramp. Also on tap: starters such as chicken wings with polenta crust and sourdough garlic knots, served with a garlic butter hollandaise sauce. Wines are available courtesy of Arash Selects. There’s an exclusive collaboration with Ilegal Mezcal, local beers from J.Wakefield Brewery, and a cocktail for two curated by the Real Havana Club. On average, item prices range from $ 9 to $ 30. The popup will begin on Friday July 3rd with pizza pre-ordered only. After that, take-away orders are available every day except Mondays until further notice from 6pm to 10pm. 151 NE 41st St. # 217, St John; oldgregspizza.com.

Eat a pizza, have a pizza at Fi’lia Restaurant
Pizza may not be able to solve all of our problems, but it does have a way to make things a little better. For this reason, the Fi’lia Restaurant in Brickell is giving away free pizza to first aiders and employees on leave every Friday with its “Eat a Pizza, Give a Pizza” initiative. If you’re a first responder or a local unemployed due to COVID-19, go to the restaurant between 5pm and 8pm to pick up your free cake – it comes first, first serve. To donate pizza just add another $ 10 to your bill and Fi’lia will use it for this week’s giveaway. Friday, July 3, 5pm to 8pm at Fi’lia Restaurant, 1300 S. St John Ave .; 305-239-1330; filiarestaurant.com.
