Matzoh Ball Mingle at Kush by Stephen’s
You don’t have to be Jewish to enjoy a night of knives, white fish, and a chance for love. Visit Kush for the very first Matzoh Ball Mingle on Saturday. Upon arrival, guests first select a bracelet that indicates their relationship status (red for a relationship, yellow for complicated, and green for single). Then you can expect games, happy hour specialty drinks and a “Hide the Salami” plate special. (We don’t name these things; we just report them.)

What started as a pop-up in response to COVID-19 hotel closings has turned into a full-fledged culinary establishment. Rosie’s at Copper Door B&B is now behind a brand new brunch every Thursday through Sunday. Menu highlights include shrimp and grits ($ 12) with ground stone grains, roasted tomatoes and fennel, sausage; Orange honey and cinnamon buns ($ 6) with bee pollen; pulled pork benedict ($ 13) with rosemary hollandaise, roasted onion, egg, and a house cookie; and Dutch baby pancakes (USD 10) with vanilla yogurt, pear, blueberries, almond, and lemon honey.

Santa Sundays in Phuc Yea
Get involved in 2020 every weekend until 2021 on Phuc Yea’s Santa Sundays. Every week the restaurant offers Christmas films, Christmas carols and secret surprise performances. Van Leeuwen ice cream delivers in St John
Van Leeuwen Ice Cream, known for its paddle shops in New York City and Los Angeles, has partnered with Reef to bring its famous pastel-colored ice cream to St Johnan’s doors with the push of a button. Van Leeuwen will operate out of Reef’s network of neighborhood kitchens and deliver directly through Postmates, UberEats, DoorDash and Grubhub. Flavors include vanilla pod, honeycomb, cookies and cream, chocolate fondant brownie, vegan cookie crumble strawberry jam, and vegan oat milk piece with brown sugar.
