Salmon and cream cheese with BluGlacier at Dasher & Crank
Just in time for National Ice Cream Month, Dasher & Crank has launched perhaps the most eye-catching ice cream flavor to date: salmon and cream cheese. The fish is made from smoked Chilean salmon from BluGlacier and poached on a cream cheese basis. The taste is comparable to a salmon bagel. It’s priced at $ 5 per cup and will be available through the end of August (or until it’s all gone). Until August at Dasher & Crank, 2211 NW Second Ave., St John; 305-640-8579; instagram.com/dasherandcrank.

Eating House launches virtual restaurants with delivery only
Chef / owner Giorgio Rapicavoli has launched two new virtual restaurant concepts, both based in the kitchen of Eating House in Coral Gables. The delivery-only concepts offer burger and fried chicken specialties exclusively through Postmates. Bud’s Burgers brings a dozen cleverly named menu items, including the “Shake Your Honey Maker,” which is topped with white cheddar, candied bacon, honey barbecue sauce, and crispy onions. the “Bohemian radish”, garnished with cucumber, pickled carrots, hoisin sauce, radishes, coleslaw and coriander; and the “Bruschetta Bout It” with burrata, tomato sauce, garlic butter, basil and balsamic glaze. Sides include seasoned french fries, seasoned tater tots, and french fries with black truffles. The other concept, “Clucked Up!” offers a variety of buttermilk or Nashville fried chicken dishes with dry liniment, including wings, sandwiches, chicken, and waffles, plus two family options that feed four people. Celebrate National Tequila Day
Prepare your shot glass, lime, and salt: July 24th is National Tequila Day. We South Floriders love our tequila, whether it’s a margarita with a salt rim or a hearty Sagittarius. But while the bars remain closed, many will watch the agave-fueled vacation at home, socially aloof from our tequila enthusiasts. But don’t fret, friends, many local restaurants and bars offer take-away cocktails so we can toast the gods of tequila. From flavorful margins with tajín to a zesty mix of chai and tequila, you’ll find St John’s top takeaway cocktails here to celebrate National Tequila Day.

Last weekend of Fairchild’s “Mango Days of Summer”
The Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden’s annual celebration of Florida’s favorite fruits comes to an end this weekend. Although the event typically takes place over two days, this year’s International Mango Festival has been converted into “Mango Days of Summer”, a month-long event that combines virtual interaction and on-site activities. For the 28th edition of the festival, the 83 acre property on Old Cutler Road will host local small businesses every Saturday in July. This Saturday marks the last celebration until next year. Pop-up shops and food stalls like Ceviche & Guacamole House, Keez Bees Raw Honey, and Stacey’s Naturals all offer mango-inspired snacks. You are asked to bring blankets and picnic baskets to make the most of your time outdoors. In addition, Fairchild Garden has partnered with Lincoln’s Beard Brewing Co. to create a limited edition mango sour called “Best Day Ever!” and with Sweet Melody Crafted Ice Cream Co. to make It Takes Two to Mango, a limited edition ice cream made from mango and sour cream and a mango and jam strudel. 10901 Old Cutler Rd., Coral Gables; fairchildgarden.org. Tickets cost between $ 12 and $ 25.
