Black is beautiful imperial stout at Veza Sur
As the talk of racial injustice continues, Veza Sur will release the Black Is Beautiful Imperial Stout this Friday, a collaboration with Weathered Souls Brewing Co.’s Black Is Beautiful Initiative. All proceeds will go to the Florida Chapter of the ACLU. The beer is available for take-away and free delivery from the Wynwood taproom in 32-ounce crowlers. The Black is Beautiful initiative was conceived by Marcus Baskerville, founder and chief brewer of Weathered Souls Brewing Co. in San Antonio, Texas, as a collaboration between the brewing community and their customers to raise awareness of the injustices many colored people face on a daily basis . So far, more than 1,000 breweries have registered to participate (from all US states and 19 countries), all of which give the imperial stout their own unique touch. The pick-up and delivery times include Tuesday to Sunday from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. The cut-off time for delivery orders on the same day is 7.30 p.m.

Old Greg’s Pizza, the Instagram sourdough pizza sensation that garnered a huge following during the COVID-19 pandemic, will be back in the Design District this weekend. Old Greg’s offers five pizzas: Original Cheese, OG Roni, Veg Supreme, Shroomz and Tomato Pie. OG Roni is topped with fresh, hand-pulled mozzarella, ezzo sausage pepperoni cups, and local hot honey. The Veg Supreme comes with hand-picked vegetables, mushrooms, oil-dried olives, red pearl onions and three types of paprika. and the Shroomz cake is topped with mushrooms, mushroom cream and wild ramp salsa verde. Also on tap: starters such as chicken wings with polenta crust and garlic knots with sourdough, served with a garlic and butter hollandaise sauce. On average, item prices range from $ 9 to $ 30.
