Have fun Easter at house with an amazing chunk to eat on supply at these St John eating places

In a kind of pandemic miracle, Easter won’t be a Covid victim, thanks in part to the restaurants in St John that remain open during the lockdown. These places reinforce it with festive menus and special dishes to celebrate the holidays – think braised lamb and fried chicken. Plus there are plenty of dessert options in the form of cakes, cookies, and of course chocolate bunnies. Even if we can’t eat out this Easter, we can still pick ourselves up from our favorite place in the region and let the flavors conjure up the happy mood of the day at home.

Icebox Cafe
Sunset Harbor Restaurant offers a range of meals for families of four, some of which are more relevant to the day than others. Choose from shareable dishes like Meatloaf with Sauce and Lasagna and place your order direct through the restaurant for a 15 percent discount when you spend $ 50 or more using the code WELCOMEPROMO.

Glass and vine
You can’t take Glass and Vine’s Park View home with you, but you can make some of the best dishes for your Easter brunch. The special menu for four includes a spinach quiche, churrasco with creamy polenta, brick chicken, a Mediterranean salad, lime cake for dessert and a bottle of sparkling wine to wash off. $ 80, serves 4.

Root and bone
Turn your traditional brunch into a full-fledged southern spread for the family. Root and Bone’s take-away food includes savory items like fried chicken, devilish eggs and cookies, plus sweets like waffles and four generous slices of carrot cake. For drinking, you have the option of using mimosa (a bottle of sparkling wine and orange juice to make yourself) and anything but the alcohol to make your own Bloody Mary. $ 80, serves 4.

Mi’talia Kitchen & Bar
Mi’talia’s Italian food is perfect for Easter and includes a grilled Caesar salad, a selection of braised lamb noodles or a spring vegetable frittata, a large tiramisu for dessert, and a bottle of white or red wine to pair with. Prosecco and Batched Bloody Marys are available at an additional cost. $ 80, serves 4.

Stiltsville Fish Bar
There’s more to Stiltsville than fish, and Sunset Harbor Restaurant makes its map shine like a bird with brunch for Easter. Pairing includes sweet jalapeño corn bread, homemade dirty french fries, salad, and lime pie. Choose from a bottle of house white, red or sparkling wine to drink while you party. $ 80, serves 4.

Persistent seed
If you are used to an elaborate Easter meal, Stubborn Seed is the way to go for that vacation. Their dinner for four includes the popular Bell and Evans chicken, pappardelle with beef ragout, a salad with bibb lettuce, and a biscuit flight (the best, honestly). You also throw in a bottle of house red, white wine or champagne. $ 160, serves 4.

Dining house
Coral Gables Restaurant recently introduced an all-day brunch, but it has some extras for Easter. Peep lovers, try the marshmallow pancakes ($ 13) drizzled with a lemon and vanilla syrup. French toast with cinnamon buns ($ 12) is another sweet option that’s less on the nose but just as delicious. Not into dessert for breakfast? Treat yourself to the brunch burger ($ 16) – an 8-ounce Angus patty with smoked apple-wood bacon, two fried eggs (!), Black truffle cream, and crispy potatoes.

Cafe Prima Pasta
The Italian restaurant offers two options for family meals on Sundays. There’s option A ($ 120) for people who want something a little more delicious, like chicken marsala and veal piccata, and option B ($ 99) for people who want to keep things tasty and simple with classics like lasagna. Whatever you choose, a salad, bread and dessert are included. $ 99- $ 120, serves 6.

Meraki
While we miss Meraki’s usual downtown Greek Easter block party, we can enjoy the restaurant’s Greek delights at home. Build your own meal for two or four, including Easter soup, roast lamb and baked potatoes, as well as various goodies like extra virgin olive oil and colored Easter eggs to complete your “basket”. One thing to note: Greek Easter takes place on Sunday, April 19th, a week later. $ 80, serves 2; $ 160, serves 4.

Seaspice
Now that you’re not going out, maybe it is time to treat yourself to a chic night. The St John River hot spot makes it easy to buy a bundle of family meals that cost anywhere from $ 290 to $ 475 for four to four people, six servings of filet mignon, lamb, and other protein. Place your order online and have your credit card ready with the lowest interest rates.

vial
Enjoy Italian with a four-course menu from Fiola. Coral Gables Restaurant offers kits for two, including eggplant parmesan, braised leg of lamb, and carrots. Have a party with Easter-themed cocktails to take away. $ 90, serves 2.

Aries
Looking for an Easter celebration with everything that goes with it? Head to Coconut Grove’s Ariete for a whole yellowtail snapper, braised lamb, and vegetable lasagna, among other things. Sugar cookies and a decoration set are included with every meal for the children to enjoy at home while parents whip up their free bottle of cava. Orders can be picked up or delivered and can be made by phone (786-615-3747) or email ([email protected]). $ 125, serves 4.

The French strawberry
Imagine having a picnic somewhere in France this weekend: Hialeah’s La Fresa Francesa serves up a full meal for five that focuses on a butter quiche. Each order includes a whole cake (choose between quiche Lorraine, salmon goat cheese, asparagus and ricotta), a rocket salad and a side dish of fat-fried duck potatoes. Place your order by phone (786-717-6886) and collect it on Sunday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. $ 65, serves 5.

Grails St John & Spanglish Craft Cocktail Bar + Kitchen
The sister restaurants are partnering for a brunch kit for two this year. Stop by on Sunday from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM and grab the takeaway made by yourself from options like smoked salmon benedict, the BBQ Grails burger, and strawberry choco pancakes. Call the restaurant to order: 786-870-4313. $ 40, serves 2.

RUSSIA
Whether Easter or Passover, the restaurant in the W offers both in the Prix-Fixe style to take away. Choose your starter, main course, side dishes and dessert from a selection of dishes including crab salad, roast shoulder of lamb, baked potatoes and carrots with a honey glaze. Orders can be placed by phone: 305-938-3112. 45 USD per person.
