LOS ANGELES (AP) – Ellen DeGeneres says she tested positive for COVID-19 but is “feeling good right now.”
Production of her talk show on the day was suspended until January, producer Telepictures said in a statement that followed DeGeneres’ announcement on Thursday.
In an Instagram post, DeGeneres said everyone in close contact with her was notified, adding that she was following “all proper CDC guidelines,” a reference to the federal centers for disease control and prevention.
“We’ll all meet again after the holidays. Please stay safe and healthy, ”DeGeneres said in her post.
Reruns of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” should air on Thursday.
When the coronavirus outbreak hit in March, DeGeneres, like other talk shows, switched to recording without a studio audience. When the series began its 18th season in September, her show virtually slipped fans into the seats and then said it would let a few dozen people into the studio.
